Closing the House

• Take in all furniture outside. Take the plastic stored under the table in the work room and put it down on the parlor floor.  Put the round table and umbrella and better chairs on top of the plastic.

• Take down hammock. Leave frame in basement. Leave cloth hammock rolled up in downstairs bedroom on floor next to bed.

• Take in all bicycles, barleys, wagon, and garden cart.

• Take in cornhole boards and put in downstairs bedroom closet.

• Take in the solar lights and put them in the basement

• Close all windows including the external storm windows. Don't forget to check basement windows. Be sure windows in maids quarters are locked and secure.

• Empty out all refrigerators and unplug the two smaller refrigerators. Turn off the breaker in the basement for the large refrigerator. Leave refrigerator doors open.

• Cover grill with grill cover. Cover the grill with blue tarp and secure with bricks.

• Leave propane tank on the grill. Leave empty or full propane tank in shed.

• Pull out annuals in front bed and flower pot.

• Put blue recycle bins in basement.

• Hose off garbage cans and put in the basement.

• Put hoses in the basement.

• Be sure doors to the basement are locked.

• Remove back screen door and leave in the parlor.

• Put a block of animal poison in the far corner of the shed

• Clean the oven.

• Take the kitchen waste baskets out of the cabinets and wipe out all crumbs and debris.  Clean the waste baskets and put back in the cabinets.

• Wipe off all the kitchen cabinet doors.

• Turn off the main circuit breaker in the basement.
